SynTech Research Spain’s primary hub and main Research Centre are nestled in Picanya, near Valencia, in the eastern region of the country. Encompassing a sprawling 30,000 square meters, this site holds a vast open field trial areas and state-of-the-art facilities including 2,200 square meters of laboratories and storage space, 5,400 square meters of greenhouses for protected cropping, and 600 square meters of office space. Moreover, SynTech Research Spain extends its reach with nine strategically positioned locations across Spain, including Valencia, Galicia, La Rioja, Cataluña, Valladolid, Murcia/Almeria/Granada, Sevilla/Cádiz, Tenerife (Canary Islands), and Castilla La Mancha – Albacete, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accessibility for agricultural research and testing needs throughout the country.

Crop Coverage

The nine SynTech Research locations in Spain cover trials on over 100 crops including citrus, vines, fruit trees, cereals, olives, maize, vegetables (open and protected), sugar beet, rice, sunflower, industrial crops, and tropical fruits. Specific areas include Valencia HQ (east) for citrus, vines, fruit trees, rice, persimmon, grapes, olives, kiwis, avocado, potatoes, and vegetables; Galicia (northwest) for vines, maize, tomatoes, and potatoes; La Rioja (north) for vines, potatoes, vegetables, cereals, and sugar beet; Cataluña (northeast) for vines, fruit trees, cereals, olives, and maize; Valladolid (central) for vines, potatoes, cereals, and sugar beet; Murcia / Almeria / Granada (southeast) for protected crops, citrus fruits, vines, grapevines, table grapes, fruit trees, vegetables, and tropical fruits; Sevilla / Cádiz (southwest) for citrus fruits, vines, rice, fruit trees, cotton, cereals, olives, strawberries, and vegetables; Tenerife (Canary Islands) for banana, pineapple, mango, papaya, and tomato; and Castilla La Mancha – Albacete (central) for grapes, cereals, maize, and potatoes.
