Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our team. This part time position is for a fixed term period of approximately 13 to 15 months, to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial management, financial accounting, financial reporting and forecasting. If you have a strong background in financial services and are highly proficient in Excel and Xero, we want to hear from you.

Job Overview
- Using the support of the UK Admin team, directly manage business Profit & Loss accounts, client invoicing & payments and ensure compliance with relevant National finance and legal regulations for all aspects of the operation.
- Manage the UK Profit & Loss accounts and work with the UK Field Testing Manager (FTM), to minimize expenditure and maximize profitability and growth of the SynTech Research UK business (in line with annual national budget).
- Generate, submit and monitor client invoices to ensure timely payment is received in order to avoid any cash flow issues.
- Prepare and submit all internal Group financial reports monthly (according to deadlines).
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly.
- Monitor the UK annual budget (monthly) and advise on any issues arising (i.e. cash flow) and work with the FTM to seek solutions.
- Manage the processing of staff expenses and supplier bill payments and all other financial aspects for the team.
- Monitor contracts between SynTech Research UK customers and suppliers (including managing payments and credit control).
- Work with the Global Company Finance Team to ensure inter-company accounts agree.
- Ensure best practice and compliance with relevant national finance & legal regulations for all aspects of the operation. Work with external accounting contractor to submit all official returns on-time (VAT, Corporation Tax, Year End Accounts etc) and in a professional manner.
- Assist with the external financial audit and provide information and explanations they require.
- Support the FTM to establish & maintain client and customer relationships to meet their expectations and help secure future sales (via efficient finance operations).
- Attend management meetings, present P&L report and take minutes.
Experience
- Relevant practical experience (3-5 years minimum).
- Good written and verbal English
- Good communication skills
- Highly Proficient in Xero
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Knowledge of foreign currency invoicing and reporting
Education
Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or degree in Finance management or equivalent recognised qualifications in accountancy & finance management.
