SynTech Europe partners with Alteia to provide digital phenotyping

SynTech Research Group and Alteia have concluded a cooperation agreement to use Alteia’s AI software platform to support SynTech’s services and its clients’ digital information needs.

Alteia supports major breeding and crop protection companies to enable fast, precise and standardized traits and plant response measures.

SynTech Research already uses imaging devices, including satellites and smartphones – and will apply the Alteia platform to develop and deploy AI-based applications to use the images for digital phenotyping. The imagery analysis service will enhance SynTech’s offerings, particularly in the area of growth-room, glasshouse and field trials assessments and conclusions such as yield estimates. This will enable SynTech to serve its customers even more effectively and speedily.

“SynTech Research and all Ag companies are entering a new era, where data becomes a fundamental part of our business. SynTech’s ambition is to be more data-driven, providing the right tools to analyze that data, and embark our customers in that journey. They expect from us a deep, accurate and data-driven analysis of field trials, accessible easily and immediately.” says Yvonnick Jambon, CEO at SynTech Research Group.

While capturing agricultural data has become easier than ever with the increasing availability and accessibility of sensors, the biggest challenge for our clients is now to set up efficient workflows to leverage it. The Alteia platform tools for data unification, AI and enablement and easy integration into a company’s IT ecosystem, leads to very short deployment and adoption times.” said Julien Zator, Alteia Ag Practice Sales Manager.
