SynTech Research Group Appoints Mariano Battista as New Seeds and Traits Global Lead Following Integration of AgIdea

SynTech Research Group is pleased to announce that Mariano Battista, cofounder of AgIdea, will be assuming the role of Seeds and Traits Global Lead following the integration of AgIdea into the Group. This strategic move reinforces SynTech Research’s commitment to innovation and growth while integrating the expertise and vision that Battista brings from his experience at AgIdea.

Mariano Battista is a seasoned scientist and entrepreneur, with a degree in Agronomy from University of Buenos Aires and a Masters from UCDavis. Mariano’s early challenges were in Monsanto, where he had multiple leadership assignments in the areas of R&D, seed technology and production. In 2006 he joined Gonzalo Grigera and cofounded AgIdea with a mission to offer R&D services to convert pre-commercial technologies into solutions for safer and more environmentally friendly agriculture.

In his new role as of Seeds and Traits Global Lead, Mariano Battista will be responsible for growing the S&T business of SynTech Research Group by proposing improvement of capacities, capabilities and expertise of our staff. He will be working closely with clients, building real value propositions and supporting them in the development of Seeds & Traits pipeline across all geographies with a primary focus in the Americas.
