SynTech EU Workshop highlights unprecedented progress in 2016

SynTech Research colleagues from France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, UK, and a new team from the Czech Republic, attended the annual workshop at the end of 2016, in Catania, Sicily.

The teams reviewed major progress against the Company strategy of focused expansion on its core businesses – GEP and GLP, Seeds/Traits, Ecotoxicology, Environmental chemistry and Regulatory services, through organic growth and acquisition.

This has been particularly evident in the EU in 2016: field capabilities have been greatly extended with additional sites/staff in France, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany.  Ecotoxicology resources too have been strengthened, with additional greenhouses, laboratories and field trials areas including aquatics, pollinator and NTO/NTP study resources. SynTech expanded its Regulatory offering, focusing on risk assessment and dossier preparation/submission

This rapid expansion has been accompanied by training of EU Study Directors and technical staff, with several new and renewed GEP and GLP certifications.

Plans for 2017 include adding a further site in Poland, plus new equipment for planting and harvesting. Other activities will be strengthening of Project Manager roles and Trials Quality Control systems for all our business areas, with priority on GEP studies.
