SynTech North America Director appointment

Dr. Jasper Barnes will join the SynTech Leadership team as the Director for SynTech North America (USA/Canada/Mexico) with effect from 1 June 2018. This follows the December 2017 announcement of Dr. Barnes’ appointment as Field and Business Development Manager for the Region.  In addition, Jasper will become Project Owner for the 2018 global roll-out of SynTech’s business management/accounting/inventory management system, together with other organisational and management duties.

Jasper is an agronomist, and started his career as a field researcher in 1990 at the ICI Northern Regional Technical Center in Champaign, Illinois later moving on to roles in project management, technical marketing in Zeneca Agrochemicals. He managed the company’s Eastern Regional Technical Center in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, before taking an international assignment with Syngenta in Basel, Switzerland as Global Head of the R&D Non-Selective Herbicide Team. He later established a team of global R&D project managers and implemented global processes for managing Seeds and the Crop Protection projects and the global R&D product development portfolio.
