SynTech Research in Spain Expands GLP-Certified Capabilities with Physico-Chemical Testing

SynTech Research Group is pleased to announce the expansion of its Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certification by Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC) at its Picanya facility in Spain, now officially including physico-chemical testing of phytosanitary products. This new capability further strengthens SynTech’s position as a trusted provider of GLP studies in Spain for the agrochemical industry.

Expanded GLP Services for Phytosanitary Products

With this addition, the SynTech Research Group laboratory in Valencia now offers the broadest GLP portfolio in the country. In compliance with EU and OECD GLP principles, the facility performs GLP-compliant studies with phytosanitary products across the following areas:

  • Physico-chemical testing this newly added service evaluates plant protection products based on microorganisms
  • Ecotoxicology studies on aquatic and terrestrial organisms, with the distinction of being the only GLP-certified provider in Spain for aquatic
  • Soil behaviour studies
  • Residue studies on vegetables, honey and post-harvest
  • Effects on non-target arthropods (on Mesocosms and environmental systems)
  • Occupational exposure studies and dislodgeable residue level studies
  • Microorganism studies, supported by a state-of-the-art microbiology laboratory GLP-certified since 2024

The Most Comprehensive GLP Certificate in Spain

By adding physico-chemical testing, SynTech Research Group now holds the most comprehensive GLP certificate in Spain, both in terms of the study areas covered and the diversity of studies available to clients. This positions the company as a key partner for organizations seeking reliable, compliant, and innovative solutions in agrochemical testing and development.

Commitment to Scientific Excellence

This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to scientific excellence and to supporting our partners in bringing safe, effective, and innovative crop protection solutions to the market,” said Francisco López, Regional Director for EMEA.

With its GLP-certified studies and international expertise, SynTech Research Group continues to play a leading role in advancing agricultural research and ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards.
