SynTech Research was established on December 11, 1999, by Dr. Khosro Khodayari and three former colleagues from Zeneca Agrochemicals (now Syngenta), launching GEP and GLP services in California’s Central Valley. The company quickly earned a reputation for scientific rigor and operational excellence.
European expansion began in 2002 with the opening of SynTech France, followed by strategic growth across the EU and US. In 2008, operations extended into Latin America (Brazil) and the Asia-Pacific region. By 2012, SynTech relocated its global headquarters to Stilwell, Kansas, adding ecotoxicology and analytical laboratory capabilities and expanding to over 30 countries with a team of 300+ professionals.
In 2020, SynTech merged with Acceres—uniting leading CROs including GAB Consulting, Promo-Vert, and BIOTEK Agriculture. This expanded the group’s capacity across field trials, regulatory services, and laboratory studies, forming a team of over 600 scientists, agronomists, and regulatory experts.
The SynTech Research Group was formally created in 2021, bringing together SynTech, Acceres (including GAB Consulting), and ECT Oekotoxikologie GmbH, with Wagner Regulatory Associates (WRA) joining soon after. Each company retains its trusted brand identity while contributing to a fully integrated “Research to Registration” service model.
In 2025, SynTech Research Group further expanded its global footprint through the acquisition of AgIdea, a leading Latin American CRO. This strategic move strengthens SynTech’s presence in the Americas and enhances its capabilities in field and laboratory research across the region.
