New Product Registration Manager joins SynTech Brazil

Andréia Paes Shiwa has joined SynTech Research Brazil as Product Registration Manager, based at Piracicaba. She will be responsible for dealing with clients’ requests for agrochemical product registrations in Brazil and will assist SynTech Brazil leadership team with her deep knowledge of the country’s regulatory system.  

Andréia brings more than 22 years experience in registration activities in the crop protection industry including as: Senior Regulatory Specialist for Dupont do Brasil S.A (Corteva) and prior to that for ISK Bioscience and FMC. She developed strong relationships with the Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA); Health (ANVISA), Environment (IBAMA) as well as the state registration bodies and authorities. She also participated in task forces led by the Crop Protection Industry (ANDEF, Crop Life International and Latin America, Sindiveg), to shape and improve the regulatory framework in important areas of science such as pollinators, risk assessment, drift and biologicals.

Andréia graduated in Agronomy from the Universidade de São Paulo at Piracicaba (ESALQ) and is attending a MBA course on Strategic Business Management from the Anhanguera Uniderp University.
