SynTech Research Commemorates World Food Safety Day 2026

Today, June 7th, 2026, SynTech Research Group joins the global community in commemorating World Food Safety Day, a key initiative that highlights the critical role food safety plays in protecting public health, supporting sustainable development, and strengthening global food systems.

First established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2018, World Food Safety Day was created to raise awareness and inspire action to prevent, detect, and manage foodborne risks. Since then, it has become a key annual moment to reflect on the shared responsibility across governments, industry, science, and society to ensure that food remains safe at every stage from farm to fork.

The importance of this day is underscored by the significant global burden of foodborne diseases. According to the World Health Organization, these diseases remain a major challenge, causing at least 200 different illnesses that affect health, livelihoods, education, and economies worldwide. Despite their impact, many of these illnesses are preventable with the right knowledge, systems, and interventions in place.

The theme for World Food Safety Day 2026 —“From burden to solutions: safe food everywhere”— emphasizes the power of data and science in driving effective action. By understanding patterns of illness, identifying root causes, and quantifying impacts such as lives lost, stakeholders can implement targeted and cost-effective solutions that make meaningful progress toward safer food systems globally.

At SynTech Research, we strongly believe that science is at the core of this transformation. Science drives bold decisions and builds unshakeable public trust which form an essential foundation when it comes to food safety. Our work is rooted in generating reliable data and translating it into actionable insights that support safe and sustainable agricultural practices.

Our mission reflects this commitment. We partner with organizations across the agricultural ecosystem to help them successfully introduce their products by delivering high-quality studies, robust regulatory dossiers, and expert, independent recommendations. Through this work, we contribute directly to producing safe food and promoting people’s health and well-being.

This mission is brought to life at SynTech Research through our values:
