Good Place to Work – Interviewing Eunice Fallas

We are excited to feature Eunice Fallas, an indispensable member of SynTech Research Group, based in Heredia, Costa Rica. In this interview, Eunice shares insights into her role, motivations and experiences working at SynTech Research Group.

What is your primary role, and how would you describe your day-to-day responsibilities?

I am the Field Testing Manager (FTM) at SynTech Research in Costa Rica and the GLP Lead for LATAM Zone II. My role is to oversee the projects in Central America and the Caribbean. As the FTM and as the GLP Lead I have to be in contact with the teams in Chile, Colombia and Ecuador, besides the countries I already oversee, I must give support to the teams when they require it in the execution of residue trials whether they are GLP or non GLP, I also carry out trainings to the teams and supervise if they are up to date with GLP requirements (SOPs readings, training, verification and calibration of equipment, etc.)

What are the values and culture of SynTech Research Group that resonate most with you?

Just like for SynTech, the client‑driven culture is extremely important to me. Truly listening to our clients and being able to offer them an end‑to‑end service is at the heart of what we do. I strongly relate to SynTech’s values of excellence and quality, and I am deeply committed to delivering studies at the highest possible standards.  My passion for this work began when I started as a PFI even before joining SynTech, and that passion remains strong today. From time to time, I still step into the role of investigator simply because I love it. Practicing science at this level is something I truly cherish. I believe this passion naturally goes hand in hand with integrity and care, because when you genuinely love what you do, you are driven to always give your best and to uphold the values that SynTech stands for.

What is your favourite activity or hobby outside of work, and have you found support or community for it within the company?

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, and scuba diving. I would love to connect with colleagues who enjoy similar activities.

Is there any personal story or anecdote you’d like to share about your time at SynTech Research Group that exemplifies why you enjoy working here?

More than anecdote, these are reasons why I appreciate working here.  I have enjoyed conducting trials in several countries in the region I cover, that had given me the opportunity of meeting so many valuable people, growers, the persons that had assist me in the field, and all the people you meet while travelling to locations.  Another reason is that ever since I started working for SynTech I found a community willing to help and support, I’m confident that I can ask my colleagues in different countries about any subject and they will answer me and guide me if needed, is that feeling of trust and commitment that makes me enjoy working here.
