SynTech Research and Acceres are in advanced discussions to merge their businesses to form a world-leading global Agricultural R&D Contract Research Organisation (CRO). SynTech Research is a major global AgriBusiness CRO, and Acceres is a fast-growing CRO in the same sector in Europe. The combined organization will be able to offer a complete package of services (Field, Laboratory and Regulatory), which will be highly attractive to the Company’s present and future customers. This includes those seeking to outsource whole product development, from field studies through to registration and beyond. The combined offer will allow the new Company to become a dominant global player in this sector.
The new Company brand will be SynTech Research, but individual company brands within Acceres will be retained as needed, for continuity and to maximize impact. Dr Khosro Khodayari, current SynTech Research CEO, will be CEO of the new Company leading the integration of SynTech Research and Acceres.
Closing of the merger is expected in early Q1 2020. The new Company’s majority shareholder will be Ekkio Capital, an independent French investment firm which has funded acquisition and growth of the CROs which constitute Acceres – Promovert, GAB Consulting and most recently BIOTEK Agriculture (Europe, UK, Ukraine). Ekkio will provide significant additional investment to accelerate growth of the new Company through acquisitions and greenfield expansion projects.
