SynTech Research is further increasing its focus on early screening assays in laboratory, greenhouse and field testing in Europe and the USA. With this portfolio of offerings, we believe that SynTech has unmatched capabilities to provide early stage screening to the exacting scientific standards required for discovery and evaluation of new product leads.

The main facilities for this testing are located in France, Spain and California, and cover screens with herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and seed treatments. The sites all have state-of-the-art track sprayers for precision applications and growth chambers meet precision environment control demands.

Early stage herbicide laboratory and greenhouse screening are performed across a broad range of weeds, whilst our small plot multi-weed field testing capabilities provide precise data across numerous species with minimal use of product.  Dr. Parsa Tehranchian, based at SynTech’s Sanger Research Station, CA., will be specializing in testing candidate chemicals against resistant weeds.

Insecticide screening is performed against a broad range of key pests including lepidoptera, coleoptera, aphids, mites and mealybugs. Fungicide screening the greenhouse or laboratory can be conducted against Septoria, Phytophthora, Fusarium, Alternaria, Botrytis and Sclerotinia. Finally, early stage seed treatment assays in the greenhouse and field are conducted on yield, heat stress, drought stress and root development.
