SynTech Europe is experiencing rising demands for its Study Director (SD) services, and is increasing its complement of SDs. Twenty delegates – existing and new SDs, PIs and Facility Managers – from France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Hungary and the UK – attended two-days of training for Study Directors at the French Field Station at Nimes on 2-3 February.
This concentrated on both GLP and practical aspects of the role, covering multi-site studies, computer systems, SD interactions (with sponsors, PIs, QA and analytical laboratories), study plans, reports and archiving. There was a particular focus on sharing experiences; SynTech Study Directors: Isabelle Pronier (France), Jim Devine (US) and QA auditor Sven Buckingham provided practical experiences and covered GLP aspects.
