SynTech involved in bee testing and EFSA consultations

On 18 July 2022, EFSA launched a public consultation on its revised guidance on the risk assessment of plant protection products on bees (honey bees, bumble bees and solitary bees). Interested parties are invited to submit comments on the draft document by 03 October 2022

SynTech Research Group is very much involved in the development and validation of bee testing guidelines, and has contributed to several guidelines followed in the EFSA guidance, notably the honey bee larval repeated exposure toxicity test (OECD GD 239), bumble bee adult acute oral and contact toxicity tests (OECD 246/247), bumble bee adult chronic oral test (ICPPR) and solitary bee adult acute oral and contact toxicity tests (ICPPR & IBAMA).

Please do not hesitate to respond to EFSA consultation (closing date October 3rd). Should you have any bee testing or consulting needs, please contact Eric Ythier.
