SynTech presents key findings in research on Pollinator field study methodology

SynTech Research recently exhibited at the 2019 SETAC Europe meeting in Helsinki, Finland. The Company presented an important poster describing our Pollinator research. This showed that hive positioning is a key component in reducing the impact of disturbance when testing side effects of plant protection products in semi-field testing on honey bees. Participants at SETAC were Eric Ythier (Business Development Manager EMEA & APAC), Line Deslandes (Terrestrial Ecotoxicology Team Lead) and Jean-Christophe Lenoir (Pollinator Study Director).

SynTech Research’s Bee Health Unit offers a full pollinator testing package with acute and chronic laboratory tests, semi-field and field studies on adult and larval honey bees, bumble bees and solitary bees. With 40 pollinator staff throughout Europe, the USA and Latin America, including 10 Study Directors, 15 Principal Investigators and 15 Lab/Field Scientists, as well as research agreements with several internationally-recognized bee health experts and beekeepers, SynTech’s Bee Health Unit team provides complete pollinator study programs, from protocol design through implementation, including sample analysis, QA and submission of final reports 

SynTech’s main pollinator laboratories are located in Maçon and Nîmes, France, Stilwell, Kansas and Piracicaba, Brazil. SynTech also offers higher tier semi-field and field studies throughout its field stations and satellite sites in the USA, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
