SynTech Spain’s controlled release fertilizer trials

SynTech Research is conducting studies on the degradation curves of several controlled-release fertilisers and how these affect the development of the crop.

A range of doses of different fertilisers are mixed with substrates, which are then regularly monitored (for pH, conductivity, temperature, humidity) to understand how the different parameters impact in the time of release.

Degradation of the fertilizers is analyzed periodically, whilst plant growth parameters are evaluated to correlate the effect of the fertiliser on crop development.The understanding from SynTech’s trials will allow optimisation of fertiliser usage, to get healthier crops while minimizing inputs.
