SynTech’s biocide testing on species of medical importance

Biocide test on Androctonus bicolor from Israel

As well as agricultural pesticide Ecotoxicology testing, SynTech Research conducts biocide testing on several species of medical importance including scorpions. Our Ecotoxicology GAM, Eric Ythier, based at SynTech France, Macon, extends this interest, as an expert on scorpions.

Over the last six years, supported by SynTech, he has described six species new to science from the Cape Verde Islands, Philippines, Morocco, Madagascar, French Guyana and from Ecuador in 2013. Eric is co-author of Scorpions of the World, published in 2010. He can be contacted at eythier@syntechresearch.com
