The Northern Hemisphere pollinator field testing season is in full swing. SynTech’s Bee Teams are now busy conducting residue (bee matrix) and side effect studies in tunnels and open field conditions, for a wide range of clients including global R&D-based agrochemical companies.

Our Bee Health Unit team provides complete pollinator field testing programs, from protocol design through implementation, delivered by our bee specialists including Study Management teams of Study Directors and Principal Investigators experienced in working with a wide range of pollinators, in several countries.

The key experts for Pollinator Field Testing are Cedric Pierru and Dr. Jean-Christophe Lenoir, who are responsible for global expansion and training of teams throughout Europe, the USA, Latin America and in China in 2021.

Cedric, is based at the SynTech Field Station in Nimes, France, as Principal Investigator for Pollinator Field and Laboratory studies. An Agronomy graduate from the University of Montpellier, France, Cedric has over 13 years’ experience on pollinator testing. Jean-Christophe is located in Tours, France and is Study Director for Pollinator Field Studies. He has a PhD in Entomology from the University of Tours, specializing in social insect behavior and has over 18 years’ experience on pollinator testing.  Both Cedric and Jean-Christophe are beekeepers.

SynTech Research also offers a full Pollinator Laboratory Testing package, with acute and chronic tests on adult and larval honey bees, bumble bees and solitary bees in its global Center of Excellence for pollinators located in France (Macon and Nimes), as well as in its other Laboratories in Spain (Valencia), USA (Stilwell, Kansas) and Brazil (Piracicaba).
