Our US and EU Biosafety Level 2 Laboratories (BSL-2) are equipped for early stage research in Plant Biology, Weed Science, Entomology and Plant Pathology, including Mycological and Microbiological studies. 3000m2 of environmentally controlled greenhouses and laboratories allow complex in vitro translation trials  all year round. Instrumentation includes laminar flow cabinets, incubators and growth chambers.

Our microbiological techniques also allow screening of seed treatments with engineered microbes for crop protection and production.  Laboratory and greenhouse studies, e.g. on heat stress, drought stress and enhanced pesticide tolerance are used for selecting preferred materials for progression.
