Dr. Parsa Tehranchian has joined SynTech North America as the West Coast Bioefficacy Leader for SynTech North America, and as a member of the North America Leadership team.

Dr. Tehranchian received his PhD on fungal and bacterial biocontrol agents to control a noxious environmental weed, from the Department of Biotechnology & Biosciences at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia in 2012. As a postdoctoral researcher in 2013 at the Department of Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas, he studied herbicide-resistant weeds in rice and soybeans in the Mississippi Delta using molecular and physiological approaches to investigate weed response to herbicide programs used to manage them.

In 2016Parsa moved to Department of Plant Sciences at the University of California-Davis as a Co-Principal Investigator on development of effective, sustainable weed management systems, funded by Bayer CropScience Weed Resistance Research program. He has had several publications on herbicide resistance mechanisms and management in Pest Management Science, Weed Science, Agronomy for Sustainable Development, Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology and in Australasian Plant Pathology.
